It is well understood that recently laparoscopy has superseded open surgery. The biggest dream of any general surgeon is to learn laparoscopic approaches because laparoscopy has many advantages, not only for the patient but also for the surgeon, which made it the preferred approach all over the whole world. The Laparoscopic suturing and knotting helps you to master the basics of laparoscopy and laparoscopic suturing.
The venue
- Gastrointestinal Surgery Center (GISC), Mansoura University, Jehan st., Mansoura, Dakahlia, 35516, Egypt
- Lectures will be held on the fourth floor (Principle hall)
- Hands on training will be held on the first floor (Reception)
What makes LSK unique?
- This workshop teaches fundamental knowledge and technical skills to perform laparoscopic surgery including different techniques of laparoscopic suturing and knotting.
- It includes didactic sessions and hands-on skills training on dry and wet labs.
- Cognitive topics related to types and techniques of laparoscopic suturing and knotting
- Technical skills taught include two-handed manipulation of laparoscopic instruments, intra/extra corporeal suturing, knot tying in addition to laparoscopic dissection on Goats and training on laparoscopic GIT anastomosis.
- A whole day inside the operating rooms in GISC to see different laparoscopic procedures performed in the daily practice.
- The certificates will be accredited from the AACME(American Association of continuing medical education

What will you learn?
Upon completion of this workshop, the trainee will be able to:
- Describe the instruments and equipment used in laparoscopic surgery
- Identify important intraoperative considerations regarding laparoscopic suturing and knotting.
- Demonstrate the techniques of laparoscopic suturing
At the end of the workshop
After completion of the workshop there will be a workshop certificates accredited from the AACME(American Association of continuing medical education), Gastrointestinal surgical center (GISC) and Mansoura university.
A feedback by each trainee will be given for future support and modernization of the workshop.
Fees
The workshop fee for LSC is 2000 LE. Per person including coffee breaks and certificates.
