A scientific day was held on the importance of providing modern laboratory tests to diagnose and predict infection

Given the importance of laboratory tests in predicting infection and accurately and quickly diagnosing it using microbiological and chemical analyses,
The clinical pathology laboratory at the Digestive Surgery Center was held yesterday under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Shouma, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Nawal Abdel-Jalil, Prof. Dr. Fatima Aouf, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Arman, the scientific day in the lecture hall at the center.
Today's activities included 8 lectures under supervision
Prof. Dr. Noha Al-Mashad, Professor of Clinical Pathology and Director of Laboratories at the Center
Dr. Hossam Zaghloul, Head of the Department of Clinical Pathology, in the presence of
Prof. Dr. Helmy Ezzat, Director of the Center.
The lectures revolved around the importance of providing modern laboratory tests to diagnose and predict infections and rapid analysis to diagnose tuberculosis to serve pre-transplant patients, as well as important information about microbial resistance to antibiotics.
In addition to applying quality standards to the Digestive System Surgery Center laboratories to obtain the most accurate results.
The recommendations indicated the development of the Biofire test, which helps in early diagnosis of infections in the digestive and respiratory systems and the blood
- With sharing the scientific content of all lectures with resident doctors, anesthesiologists, and internists, to inform them of everything new in the field of antibiotic resistance and the possibility of avoiding this problem.
